After 28 years, it’s a bittersweet goodbye to one of our amazing teachers. Maria has been with CAPE for nearly three decades and has helped countless children and families.
CAPE Executive Director, Regina Garcia had this to say:
Maria, as you step into this new chapter of your life, we are reminded of the incredible journey you’ve had here. For 28 years, you’ve been a cornerstone of this organization, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished for years to come. Your dedication, hard work, and unwavering passion you have for the children and families you have served is unwavering. As you leave, know that your impact will remain—whether it’s in the children’s lives that you’ve shaped, the lessons you’ve taught, or the relationships you’ve built. We are all better for having known you.
So, on behalf of everyone at CAPE, thank you, Maria. Thank you for everything you’ve given to CAPE and to each of us individually. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Dear Maria
I am so blessed to have known you as a colleague with full of life and optimism. Maria, you have always been an inspiration and strength to exhibit the best of yourself and made others feel the same. For instance, I recall in one of the trainings you were a child, and I was a teacher. You really got into the role of a child and did so well. That incident showed how much you loved the children and the work you did. You took your job seriously and your interactions positively. I thank you for sharing those wonderful moments with me and to bring best out of me. I will never forget your smiles and simplicity. I wish you all the best and happy journey ahead. I will always remember you in my thoughts and prayers no matter which part of the world you and I will be in life.
