Each year, CAPE, Inc. (Community Association for Preschool Education) invites families to share their feedback through the Desired Results Parent Survey. This survey helps us understand how our programs are supporting children’s growth and family goals — and how we can continue improving together.

During the 2025–2026 school year, 161 families participated in the survey. The results show that CAPE’s commitment to quality early education and family partnership continues to make a difference.

 What Families Shared

• 99% of families agree that CAPE provides resources and suggestions to help them support their child’s learning.
• 100% feel welcomed and valued as partners in their child’s education.
• 100% say CAPE supports their child’s social and emotional development.
• 98% agree that CAPE’s learning activities help prepare their child for school readiness, including math and literacy skills.

Families also shared heartfelt comments about their experiences:

“I love that the program provides me with the opportunity to reach my goals, and my daughter is provided with the social skills and education to help her be successful.”

“My daughter comes home every day excited to share what she learned. The teachers and I have great communication and work together to help her be more expressive and kind.”

CAPE’s programs don’t just help children — they help families thrive.
82% of parents said their child’s participation helped them get or keep a job or attend school. This reflects CAPE’s broader mission: empowering families through education, connection, and opportunity.

 Our Commitment

CAPE is proud to offer Early/Head Start and State Preschool programs that nurture children’s development and strengthen family partnerships. Every child enrolled in a state‑funded early education program is assessed using the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) — a tool that helps teachers track developmental progress and share insights with families.
